My bloom for today is this small pink flower:I don't know it's name. It's on a bush that I bought to hide the fence. It's been in about three or four years and is growing well. As it grows I'm tying some of the branches to the fence so it will grow upwards and mask the fence even more.Today I pot . . . ()

Before I tell you about the disappearing Sunflowers I'll show you today's bloom which is a Peony:I'm a bit disappointed with the Peony this year as only one bud appeared. Today I sowed a few seeds, well I thought it was about time I got a few started.I sowed the half-hardy annuals - Petunia, Salpiglossis, Coreopsis, Nicotiana, Abutilon and Solenopsis.They are now in the spare bedroom where hopefully, before too long, they will start to sprout. So far today it's been a mixture of sunshine and showers - mainly showers. I had intended going out into the garden to do some work but I changed my mind because as well as being cold, grey, damp and miserable it's also quite windy.
